In one of the worst-kept transfer secrets in recent years, Barcelona have finally confirmed the signing of Antoine Griezmann.
The 28-year-old announced last month he would leave Atletico this summer after spending five seasons in the Spanish capital.
The France international arrives from fellow LaLiga giants Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €120million, which is the release clause in his contract.
Recent reports had claimed that Manchester United had not given up hope of luring the France star to Old Trafford, despite strong rumours that a Nou Camp switch was nailed on.
The 28-year-old forward will sign a five-year contract that ties him to Nou Camp until June 30, 2024.
Griezmann’s contract with Barca will have a buyout clause of 800 million euros, the Spanish champions added in a statement.
