One LaLiga goalkeeper has thrown his future into doubt in recent comments amid links with a move to Liverpool.
Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has admitted that he has not yet held talks about a new deal at the club, with the Reds reportedly interested.
According to the Independent earlier in January, Jurgen Klopp has identified either Oblak or Roma’s Alisson as he looks to solve his goalkeeping quandary.
The Slovenia international has also been linked with a move to PSG as well as Anfield. The 25-year-old, who kept a clean sheet on Saturday, has revealed that he has not begun talks over a new contract.
“I have a contract until 2021, but we have not talked about that yet,” Oblak said.
“First you have to concentrate on the field. What happens, it will happen, but it does not depend on me.”
While Oblak’s transfer release clause at Atletico is set at €100million, the Reds hope to negotiate a lower fee with the La Liga giants.
Liverpool will hope Atleti will sell for nearer £50million after the report claimed Klopp finally accepted neither Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius are up to the required standard.
