Linfield youngster Charlie Allen has reportedly held a trial at Tottenham and had talks over a potential move to the Premier League club.
A report on Football Insider, however, claims that Chelsea are looking to snatch the 15-year-old from Tottenham’s grasp and have also asked to take the player on trial.
Manchester City are also said to have shown an interest in the highly-rated attacking-midfielder, who made his debut for Linfield against Coleraine on April 27.
Linfield Academy director Glenn Ferguson has described Allen as “one of the brightest prospects” he has seen.
The report adds that Chelsea are confident of beating Mauricio Pochettino’s men to the player, with Linfield already preparing to cash in on one of their top prospects.
Allen, who has already made five appearances for Northern Ireland u17s, is expected to weigh up a number of offers over the coming weeks and months as he decides on where his future will lie.
